Fire Safety Planning

Image

The adoption of building regulations and codes to prevent the recurrence of large-scale fires has achieved a relatively high degree of success; yet tragic fires do occur in even modern, well-designed and well-equipped buildings. Building owners have a responsibility to safeguard themselves and others from the effects of fire. Buildings are designed, built, and maintained to recognized standards for fire and life safety. One part of required fire protection program is the Fire Safety Plan. This course is intended for the Fire Department Officer who is responsible for the review of an effective, workable Fire Safety Plan, designed in accordance with Fire Code Regulations. The course will focus on the requirements, intent and details of Fire Code Subsection 2.8.
