 Sprinkler Systems 101 for the Fire Inspector This course in intended for the Fire Department Officer who is inspects sprinkler systems as part of a regular system of inspections. The Course will cover the basic components and operation of wet and dry-pipe sprinkler systems. Topics will include inspection of valves, piping and pipe support, sprinklers, sprinkler obstructions, alarms, features for inspection and testing, water supplies and documentation of an inspection and testing program. The course will provide the student with skills to inspect a sprinkler system for operational readiness. The course will focus on Fire Code requirements and highlight those of NFPA-13.
